About the service
VoxNotes allows you to send voice messages in the same way that you are used to sending SMS text or Instant Messenger messages.
You can record and then send an audio message in one of three ways:
- As a VoxNote Direct Email: the message is received as an email attachement by your recipient
- As a VoxNote app-to-app message: the message is received by the recipient directly into their version of VoxNotes on their phone. The recipient can reply back to you as well. Note that the software decides on its own whether to send it as a Direct Email or app-to-app based on whether the recipient is a registered user or not.
- As an OutDial phone message: the recipient's phone rings, and when they pick up, they hear your message, with an option to reply. The reply comes to you as a VoxNote into your app. Your cell phone minutes ARE NOT USED.
Sending any of these messages back and forth costs us money because it utilizes server infrastructure,
telecom charges and maintenance charges. However, we have tried to keep the service as nearly free as possible.
But we do need to charge a little bit here and there to cover some of our costs. Our rates though are incredibly
low as can be seen from our
rate sheet.
